2004-08-14 [Kaimee]: you can tell if you made it or not by reading the updates, if the say that the Poetry Corner is closed for submission, then you've missed the deadline. If theres no update saying its closed then you've gotten there on time :) If eveyone who submitted art reads all of the last update, posted on the last deadline, it says which members poetry was accepted or not. 2004-08-16 [Kaimee]: The heralders :) the poetry and Art Corners as well as many other pages are for different sections of The Town Herald, elftowns e-zine :) anyone can suggest themes but the heralders decide which theme will be used for each issue :) you can suggest themes and such at our forum <joinforum:177:union> (Town Herald : Come one, come all) or to any heralder :)

If you could look into his house (he's [lastartian]) and see if you need him, could you let me know so that I could tell him? he really likes to help with anything around ET, especially herald. 2004-08-24 [Kaimee]: You can apply at Herald Hopefuls, just like [lastartian] will have to do. Sorry Sunny, but about 7 or 8 people have already applied for the job at the 'hopefuls' page and to be honest, everythings under control now. If we especially need any help in the future we'll look on the hopefuls page so you'd better get him to apply there ;) also, we'd probably look for those familiar with the poetry corner rules, so anyone who hangs around here and we know understands (and follows) the rules has a good chance of being chosen for any help needed :) i dont think iv seen lastartian around here before..... :/

2004-08-31 [Kaimee]: [Mental Terrorist], any and all poetry that follows the rules is good enough! we currently do not have a theme and therefore cannot tell you what poetry would be acceptable for the next issue, but any poetry you have written that follows whichever theme is not only suitable but wanted! as long as it follows the rules it has to get in, we accept everything that follows the rules and theme :)

2004-09-08 [Sheona]: I used to write alot of very morbid poetry, and even today my poetry still has a darker theme to it. The darkness doesn't stop a poem from being beautiful and valid, and as long as it fits the theme here it's welcome ^_^

2004-09-09 [Sheona]: I think if it's well enough written then no one should have a problem with it. After all, they never complained about any of my poems. There are ways of writing dark poetry and still having it recognised as a good piece of work. Just look at Edgar Allan Poe!

2004-09-09 [Sheona]: I actually bought a large book with blank pages and filled the whole thing back when I wrote alot darker poetry. That's over 100 morbid poems! Lol. Now I'm a little more subtle with my darker themes. ;)

2004-09-09 [Sheona]: I find that I can write better when I'm feeling down. At the moment, I'm on medication that supresses my creativity. It's a real bummer. My poetry has a very old-fashioned style. Check out Magic Realms - Sheona's Poetry if you want to know what I mean. I can't explain it any better than that! It's nice to know people are writing so much poetry, though. Imagine what the world would be like without poetry! O.O

I write very oldfashioned stype most of the time too! :)But sometimes I write with a totally different style... I love them both! :) I have poems in my computer mostly... some of my poems are in my school workbooks and some are just written to a papers that lie around my room...

And then all the people running it had disasters happening in their lives and the poetry corner had no one looking after it :P so we started it up again and chagned it all around and its just such a relief to see that it worked :)
